 | Gary Hunter Out of Action Tuesday, August 7th, 2012 The San Francisco Earthquakes were dealt a severe blow when Gary Hunter was hurt making a defensive play recently in a game against the So Cal Republic. After the game, the team trainer reported Hunter might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 29-year-old center fielder out for the rest of the season with a torn labrum. They indicated it would take Hunter at least 7-8 months to heal. Hunter on the season is batting .314 with 4 home runs. His totals include 43 RBIs and 55 runs scored. He has played in 82 games. |   |
