 | 10-Game Drug Suspension for Marauders Martínez Friday, August 8th, 2014 League officials notified the Maple Marauders that starting pitcher Roberto Martínez recently failed a drug test and will be punished for violating the league drug policy. He will be suspended for 10 games. The Marauders general manager released a statement that read, "We are sorry that one of our players has broken the rules. Roberto has apologized to our team and our fans and has said it will not happen again. He realizes that this type of behavior could ruin his baseball career. Both Roberto and our organization will do all we can to remedy this situation." This season Martínez has 6 wins and 8 losses and a 4.45 ERA. |   |
