 | Red-Hot May Lands Frend Batting Prize in RCL Saturday, June 1st, 2013 When Steve Frend stepped up to the plate in May, he did it with confidence and today he was honored with the Roberto Clemente League Batter of the Month award. The young Seattle right fielder posted a .431 batting average with 7 home runs, 32 RBIs and scored 31 runs. Frend also worked pitchers for 24 walks to post a .540 on-base percentage. For the year Frend is hitting .408 with 13 home runs. His stats include 52 RBI and 52 runs scored. |   |
