 | Kobayashi Collects CL Pitching Award Sunday, July 1st, 2012: In June, Yataro Kobayashi tore through the Central League like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 21 years old. The young Hiroshima Toyo starter posted a 4-0 mark and an ERA of 3.13 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 31.2 innings he collected 43 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .195 average. In 12 starts this year Kobayashi has posted 6 wins while suffering 3 losses. He has pitched 92.1 innings, allowed 65 hits, struck out 121 and has a 3.12 ERA. |   |
