Monday, June 11th, 2012: It was some kind of week for Mabuchi Onishi of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. First he hits the heck out of the ball, ripping it at a .350 clip and the next thing you know, he is voted the Player of the Week in the Pacific League. Last week Onishi went 7-20, chalked up 2 home runs and 5 RBIs and scored 2 runs. Not a bad week's work at all.
This season Onishi is hitting .276 with 4 home runs.
