 | Tigers Yamashita Has 15 Ks Saturday, June 9th, 2012: Tetsuya Yamashita of the Hanshin Tigers really put on a pitching clinic today at Ballpark of Otofuke College as he struck out 15 Hiroshima Toyo Carp in a 4-0 victory. Yamashita was simply magnificent as he held the Carp to 1 hit and had 2 walks in the game. "My fastball was okay," Yamashita said, "but my breaking stuff really hurt them. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game." When asked about Yamashita's performance, the Tigers manager shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was pretty good out there today. He was dominating today." On the year Yamashita has worked 56.2 innings with 79 strikeouts en route to a 4-4 record and 3.65 ERA. |   |
