 | BP Proves Dangerous for Noguchi Tuesday, June 5th, 2012: Saitama Seibu center fielder Tatsui Noguchi was taken to a local hospital earlier this evening when he was struck in the temple by a wayward pitch during batting practice. Noguchi, who managed to remain on his feet after the impact, complained of a headache and double-vision moments later. "He pretty well got his clock cleaned," said teammate Sen Kimura, who witnessed the incident. Noguchi had a bruise on his cheekbone and complained of some blurred vision, but a CAT-scan revealed no evidence of a concussion or other injuries. However, manager Senichi Otsuka said Noguchi would be held out of the lineup for the Lions next few games as a precaution. | |
