 | Kiyomizu CL's Best of the Week Monday, May 28th, 2012: 23-year-old Hideyori Kiyomizu made a few Chunichi headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Central League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 8 hits in 21 at-bats to put up a .381 average. Kiyomizu collected 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and scored 4 runs. This year Kiyomizu is hitting .370 with 4 home runs and 16 RBIs in 24 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .531 with 24 walks and 17 runs scored. |   |
