 | Carp Kobayashi Strikes out 15 Dragons Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012: Yataro Kobayashi of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp was something to behold at Ballpark of Nakashibetsu College. He was on fire and fanned 15 Dragons en route to a 9-1 victory. Kobayashi shackled Chunichi on 4 hits and gave up 2 walks in an outstanding performance. "That's as good as I've ever seen him throw," his manager said. "I've never seen so many bad swings in my life. These guys didn't have a chance." Kobayashi had very little to say to after the game. "We won and that's the bottom line. I had a good game. And we beat Chunichi." The Chunichi manager wasn't too happy with the game. "He pitched a very good game. You have to tip your cap to him." This season Kobayashi has compiled a 2-3 mark with a 2.73 ERA. |   |
