Tuesday, May 1st, 2012: There was little doubt around the Central League that Kazuhiko Kanno would be awarded Pitcher of the Month honors for April. Today, they made it official, naming the 18-year-old Chunichi Dragons starter the latest honoree.
He thoroughly dominated the hitters who stood in against him, holding them to a .235 batting average while fashioning a 3.68 ERA in 4 starts. His record for the month was 4-0 in 29.1 innings of work.
