First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .458 clip, then the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham right fielder finds outs he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the PL Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Yamada batted .458 (11-24) with 4 home runs and 7 RBIs. |   |
