The 23-year-old first baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Central League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .444 average (8-18) with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 7 runs scored. In his stats this season, Kouno has posted a batting average of .322 with 123 hits in 382 at-bats, 14 home runs and 69 RBIs.
