 | Kaneko, Sato Receive 5-Game Suspensions Sunday, September 29th, 2013: There was a mass free-for-all yesterday at Sailboats Ballpark. Both dugouts emptied when Tohoku Rakuten's Toshikazu Kaneko and Fukuoka SoftBank's Takanibu Sato scuffled with one another after some heated words. In an official statement today, the league commissioner suspended both parties for 5 games. This season Kaneko has hit at a .289 clip and produced 44 runs batted in, 10 home runs and 67 runs. In 25 starts this season, Sato has recorded 7 wins and absorbed 7 losses. He has pitched 153 innings, allowed 151 hits, struck out 163 and has a 5.59 ERA. |   |
