 | Yokoyama Bashes 5 Base Hits Sunday, September 8th, 2013: Nobuhisa Yokoyama got the glory and the headlines today, while the Hiroshima Toyo Carp got the win. The Chunichi left fielder easily handled Carp pitching, going 5 for 5, but the Dragons came out on the short end of the score 14-11. He told BNN reporters in the postgame interview, "I'm glad I got the hits, but I would trade three or four of 'em for a win... maybe even all 5 of 'em." The Dragons skipper added, "Well, it's a shame we didn't get the victory today, especially with his standout performance. Let's just hope our team can do better tomorrow." Nobuhisa Yokoyama doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this season Yokoyama has put up a .366 batting average with 106 hits, 29 home runs and 89 RBIs. |   |
