 | CL Batter of the Month Honors to Amano Sunday, September 1st, 2013: Today Yomiuri's Kiichi Amano was named Central League Batter of the Month for August. He slammed opposing pitching hard all month long, bashing out 17 hits in 53 at-bats. With a .321 batting average, 6 home runs, 25 RBIs and 10 runs scored, he was a solid choice. In 41 games this season Amano has compiled a .297 batting average with 43 hits and 11 home runs. He has also scored 25 times and knocked in 41 runs. |   |
