 | Ogawa Beaned During Batting Practice Thursday, August 15th, 2013: ORIX reliever Tadahisa Ogawa was taken to a local hospital earlier this evening when he was struck in the temple by a wayward pitch during batting practice. Ogawa, who managed to remain on his feet after the impact, complained of a headache and double-vision moments later. "He pretty well got his clock cleaned," said teammate Akihiro Koumura, who witnessed the incident. A CAT-scan revealed no evidence of a concussion or other injuries and Ogawa was cleared to return to practice. However, manager Torazo Yamamoto said Ogawa would be held out of the lineup for the Buffaloes next game as a precaution. | |
