 | Watanabe Goes Yard 3 Times Saturday, August 10th, 2013: Tatsuzo Watanabe must believe in the "Big Bang Theory". He proved it today by going deep three times against the Yomiuri Giants. The heavy-hitting Yokohama left fielder added a lot of firepower and excitement to today's 13-6 win over the Giants. Fans and foes alike are still buzzing about his standout performance at Ballpark of Yamagata College. He told reporters, "I've been working on my swing... trying to keep it short, compact and simple. It worked today." For the game he had 3 hits in 3 at-bats, drove in 4 and scored 3 runs. Tatsuzo Watanabe walked in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Hirokichi Kawamura in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Kenshin Nakamura in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Yushiro Shimizu in the 8th and walked in the 9th. This year Watanabe is hitting .385, produced 46 RBIs and 10 home runs, scored 43 times and gotten on base at a .478 rate. |   |
