 | Nakano Torches Bay Stars for 5 Hits Saturday, May 25th, 2013: What a day for Noboru Nakano of the Hanshin Tigers! A 5-hit hitting spree! That doesn't happen every day! He ripped Yokohama pitching apart at Cuckoos Stadium and sparked the Tigers to a 40-12 victory. He wrote his name in the record books, finishing his special day 5 for 7. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Nakano told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid that."
