 | Rossi Strokes 5 Hits Monday, May 7th, 2012: Philippe Rossi really sizzled at the plate in today's 13-4 win over Royales. The Saskatoon catcher blistered Montreal for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Rossi was too tough to get out today," the Royales skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Philippe Rossi hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This year Rossi has collected a .339 batting average to date with 40 hits in 118 at-bats, 24 RBIs, 10 home runs and scored 31 times. He has played in 29 games. |   |
