 | League Suspends Benjamin and Marques for Fisticuffs Sunday, May 5th, 2013: Shane Benjamin of the Calgary Outlaws and Nicolas Marques of the Saskatoon Legends got into a wrestling match yesterday at Corvettes Ballpark and now must pay the consequences for violating league rules. They have both been assessed 9-game suspensions by the league for inciting the heated altercation between the two clubs. Currently Benjamin is batting .371 with 9 home runs and 28 RBIs. He has made 14 relief appearances this year with 1 saves. Marques has achieved a 1-1 record while holding opposing hitters to a .294 batting average and posting a 8.53 ERA. He has tossed 12.2 innings, given up 15 base hits, fanned 14 and issued 11 walks. |   |
