 | 5-5 Game for Abadie Thursday, April 18th, 2013: History in the making. That's what the fans at Eliminators Ballpark got to see today, when Montreal outplayed the Stars 25-2. Salim Abadie of the Royales came to the plate 5 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Niagara. In the postgame press conference the Niagara skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink." Salim Abadie walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, walked in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off John Longley in the 8th. For the season Abadie is batting .213 with 10 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 9 times and batted in 11. |   |
