 | Frank Slams 5 Hits for Virginia Friday, June 1st, 2012: It takes more than one player to win a baseball game. Scotty Frank of the Cavaliers is proof of that. The Virginia second baseman gave it his all and dominated Oregon State pitching today at Ballpark of Redwood College with a great 5-for-6 game. However, when the game ended, the scoreboard showed the Beavers went home the winner, 13-12. Scotty Frank singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. So far on the season Frank is hitting .300 with 4 home runs, 35 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has 57 hits and played in 48 games. |   |
