 | Hits Galore: Harris Drills 5 Hits Thursday, May 17th, 2012: Gerald Harris had an answer for everything the Washington State Cougars threw him today in the Fresno State 13-5 triumph at Tribe Ballpark. He made good contact 5 times and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit. The Fresno State third baseman went 5 for 6 in the game to put his name in the record book. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Harris said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Gerald Harris singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Jim Logan in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Presently Harris is batting .305 with 50 hits and 8 home runs. He has knocked in 30 runs and scored 36 times. |   |
