 | Merritt 5-5 for Oregon Friday, May 11th, 2012: "It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Oregon first baseman Dan Merritt said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-5 day against the LSU Tigers at South Paris College Grounds. "I got some good counts and used the whole field." The Ducks had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 10-2. Dan Merritt singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. A look at his season totals shows Merritt with no home runs, .139 BA, .197 OBP, 6 RBIs and 9 runs scored. |   |
