 | Martínez Blanks Buckeyes Friday, May 11th, 2012: In an outstanding outing, Júlio Martínez tamed Ohio State on a 3-hit shutout. The Tennessee hurler went the distance, finishing with 10 strikeouts and no walks in the 13-0 win. "He had a lot of first pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to the Ohio State manager. "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today." Up to now Martínez has recorded a record of 3-1. In 7 starts he has fanned 50 batters in 44.2 innings with a 2.82 ERA. |   |
