 | RDL's Top Player Named Monday, April 23rd, 2012: Nelson Stonard is respected by most Long Beach State 49'ers fans for his no-frills style of play. The 19-year-old third baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Rod Dedeaux League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .500 average (11-22) with 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and 6 runs scored. To date this year Stonard is batting .355 with 6 home runs. |   |
