 | Bond Sizzles -- Smokes Beavers for 5 Hits Saturday, April 14th, 2012: Fresno State center fielder Roosevelt Bond could do no wrong in today's 10-7 win over the Beavers as he collected 5 hits. "In every one of his at-bats things were in his favor... he got hitter's counts," the skipper of the Beavers said to the press corps after the game. Bond agreed. "The key is getting ahead. Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit. You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready." Roosevelt Bond doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jesús Feliciano in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. This season Bond has hit 8 home runs and posted a .380 batting average. |   |
