 | O'Higgins, King Suspended for Fracas Friday, April 6th, 2012: At a recent Beavers-Tigers contest at Palisades Ballpark, Reese O'Higgins of Oregon State took exception to what Jim King of LSU said to him and tackled him. This led to an old-fashioned bench-clearing free-for-all between the two clubs. After the umpires restored order, they ejected both players. Today the league commissioner's office took action and suspended each player for 11 games, citing them for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct." So far this season, O'Higgins has recorded a .563 batting average with 9 hits, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs, 7 runs scored and a .708 OBP. |   |
