 | GONE! GONE! GONE! 3 HRs for Lowery Thursday, April 5th, 2012: LSU right fielder Floyd Lowery sensed he was going to have a good game at the plate, but he underestimated just a little bit. Prior to the game, Lowery predicted he would hit a home run against the USC Trojans. During batting practice he told his teammates, "I really got my swing down pat. I feel some thunder in the lumber. I'm gonna get me a home run in this game." He was right. He did hit a home run -- three of them, in fact -- pacing the Tigers over the Trojans 13-1. "I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Lowery told reporters after the game. To go along with the homers, he collected 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Floyd Lowery walked in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Darren Madden in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Darren Madden in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Doug King in the 7th. For the year Lowery is batting .538 with 6 home runs, 13 RBIs and 7 runs scored. |   |
