 | Super Swinger -- Becker Slams 5 Hits Wednesday, May 15th, 2013: Gerald Becker was a tough out and went 5 for 5 against Ole Miss in a fine hitting display. But the Rebels still managed to beat the Oregon State Beavers 11-9. "I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody... and some days they fall in." Becker also added, "And some days you lose, no matter how well you play. 5 hits in a game ought to win it." Don't know if it is any consolation to him, but he will get his name put in the record books. Gerald Becker singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Shawn Green in the 9th. Presently Becker is batting .402 with 5 home runs and 15 RBIs. He has played in 28 games and scored 18 times. |   |
