 | 5-Hit Barrage by Willis Tuesday, April 30th, 2013: John Willis had an answer for everything California threw him today at Prisoners Ballpark. In 5 at-bats he made good contact and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit. The Fresno State third baseman went 5 for 6 in the game to get his name in the record book. However, his great performance was not enough to produce a victory. His club, the Bulldogs, took it on the chin 16-15 against the Golden Bears. "I know you can't win 'em all," he said, "but it sure would have been nice to win this one. To get 5 hits and lose is just not the way it should be." John Willis flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and tripled in the 8th.
