 | Pérez, Valdés Suspended for Fracas Monday, April 29th, 2013: It was quite a row yesterday at Zodiac Ballpark. The Tigers Robinson Pérez and the Gators Pedro Valdés backed up their angry words with a few shoves and a few swings. Then both dugouts raced onto the field and got involved in the fracas. When it was over, only Pérez and Valdés were ejected. As expected they were informed by the league office that they would each have to serve 5-game suspensions for their inappropriate actions. For the year Pérez is batting .296 with 29 hits and 1 home run. He has scored 18 times and driven in 5. So far this season Valdés has worked 14.2 innings in 15 relief appearances with 0 saves. He has dished out 13 strikeouts and walked 10 with a 0-1 mark and a 3.68 ERA. |   |
