Wildcats Pitching Ravaged by Kent
Sunday, April 14th, 2013: Players get multihit games all the time. But a 5-hit game comes around only once in a blue moon. It happened at Red Wings Ballpark when Jeff Kent of Stanford scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the Arizona Wildcats.

He walloped 5 hits in 6 at-bats in his career-day performance to help the Cardinals get by the Wildcats 14-11.

In a talkative and jovial mood after the game, the left fielder of the Cardinals said, "Whoa, my swing was really, really there today. I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens... good things happen... like 5-6. I could get used to a lot of days like this one."

Jeff Kent singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Tyler Pratt in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.

Thus far this year Kent is batting .321 with 3 home runs, 13 RBIs and 8 runs scored.
