 | Kelly Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Wednesday, April 10th, 2013: Getting 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Ole Miss's John Kelly had a very special day against the Bulldogs when everything came together for him. He really swung the bat with authority, getting 5 hits in 5 at-bats. However, it was Fresno State that picked up the victory. They topped the Rebels 7-4 at Ballpark of Wrightsville College. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Kelly said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em. I had a great day, but the loss kinda put a damper on the day." Disappointed or not, he still gets his name written in the record books. John Kelly singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Johnathan Lyons in the 8th. In this current campaign Kelly is hitting at a .467 clip with 3 home runs and 7 RBIs. |   |
