 | Woods Booms 3 out of the Park Tuesday, April 9th, 2013: In the Long Beach State 11-2 win over TCU, Mike Woods was in a home run mode. He tortured the Horned Frogs, cracking out three home runs and going 3-4 with 3 RBIs and scoring 4 runs. "When you're hot, you're hot," said a grinning Woods in the postgame press conference. "I got some good pitches to hit and got a good swing going today. I cannot believe it happened. I was like, 'I don't know what I'm doing.' It was one of the better days in my baseball career. I was on cloud nine out there and I was enjoying it." Mike Woods hit a solo-shot off Sandy Franks in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Sandy Franks in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jackson Scott in the 5th, walked in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. Thus far this season Woods is hitting .333 with 4 home runs, 6 RBIs and 9 runs scored. He has 11 hits in 33 at-bats and has played in 9 games. |   |
