 | League Takes Action, Jackson Suspended Tuesday, April 9th, 2013: It got ugly on the field today in the 49'ers and Horned Frogs game, when Dustin Jackson was ejected for arguing balls and strikes with the home plate umpire. Before he left the dugout area, Jackson threw a few bats and a garbage can on the field toward home plate. League officials thought the Long Beach State right fielder went too far and gave him a 5-game suspension. "Sometimes your emotions get the better of you and you just sort of lose control," Jackson told reporters, "but that doesn't mean I was wrong, just out of control." For the season Jackson has produced 3 hits in 14 at-bats for a .214 average with 2 home runs and gotten on base at a .214 clip. |   |
