 | Nelson 5-6 Against Cavaliers Friday, April 5th, 2013: Alabama left fielder Bill Nelson put on quite a show at Ballpark of Redwood College with a big 5-hit day in the 17-5 victory over the Virginia Cavaliers. In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate... 5-6... wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average... and my salary, too." Bill Nelson hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off John Reed in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This season Nelson has hit at a .304 clip and produced 5 RBI, 1 home run and 5 runs. |   |
