Tuesday, October 30th, 2012: Coney Island reliever John Wood will be out of service for approximately 2 weeks after suffering a bruised wrist. The injury occurred as Wood was reportedly attempting to unjam his garage door. X-rays showed no signs of breakage, but according to team medical staff, there is a significant bone bruise. When reached for comment, Wood simply replied, "It was just a matter of carelessness on my part. I'm going to rest it for now and I should be back in action in a couple of weeks."
