 | BOL Player of the Week Awarded Monday, August 6th, 2012: 23-year-old Rafael Aguilar made a few Chippewa headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Buck O'Neil League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 8 hits in 17 at-bats to put up a .471 average. Aguilar collected 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 3 runs. So far this season Aguilar has put up a .217 batting average with 73 hits, 9 home runs and 35 RBIs. |   |
