 | Brock Tags River Chiefs for 5 Hits Sunday, July 29th, 2012: It was a sensational day at the plate for Nelson Brock as he led the charge to a 18-3 win over the River Chiefs. The Baltimore third baseman was pure misery for the Chippewa pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the River Chiefs told BNN reporters after the game, "Brock put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Nelson Brock singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th. This year Brock has hit 10 home runs and posted a .264 batting average. |   |
