 | Coney Island's Grant Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Tuesday, July 24th, 2012: There are moments in a player's career that are etched into their memories forever. Rick Grant of the Coney Island Cyclones had one of those moments when he went 5 for 5 at the plate today in the 5-4 win over the Winfield Warriors at Coney Island Coliseum. The 18-year-old second baseman told reporters in the postgame interview, "This is a day I won't forget soon, but I'll settle to just get a hit or two every day... enough hits to hang around the league a little bit longer... like 10... 15 more years maybe." Rick Grant singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 10th. Grant is currently batting .242 with 2 home runs and 24 RBIs. |   |
