 | Davidson Perfect Against Coney Island Thursday, July 5th, 2012: The dictionary defines perfection as "an unsurpassable degree of excellence." New Orleans Jedi Knights starter Tony Davidson achieved that goal today when he threw a perfect game against Coney Island, beating them 3-0.
"I knew when I took the mound today that I felt good," Davidson said to reporters after the game. "I had no idea that I felt that good!"
Davidson struck out 12, walked no one and allowed no hits en route to his historic gem. He retired 27 batters in a row.
To this point in the season, Davidson shows a 7-4 record, 15 starts, 114 innings, 127 strikeouts and a 1.18 ERA. | |
