 | Atkinson #1 BOL Pitcher in June Sunday, July 1st, 2012: Over the past month Anthony Atkinson has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the Buck O'Neil League. He proved all that and now he's been named June's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Nichols Gnats posted 5-1 mark and a 1.37 ERA. In 6 starts he tossed 39.1 innings, permitted 27 hits and fanned 42 batters. In 16 starts this season Atkinson has gathered 10 wins while suffering 3 losses. He has pitched 101 innings, allowed 84 hits, struck out 97 and has a 2.85 ERA. |   |
