 | Player of the Week: Sparks of the Hornets Monday, June 11th, 2012: So far in his young career, Dwayne Sparks has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the August Herrman League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 25-year-old Bethesda Hornets first baseman hit at a torrid .423 clip as he collected 11 hits in 26 at-bats, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 8 runs scored. So far this year Sparks is hitting .289 with 11 home runs. |   |
