 | Red-Hot Rampage Reaps AHL Reward Monday, June 4th, 2012: 20-year-old José Reyes made a few Penzance headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and August Herrman League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 8 hits in 15 at-bats to put up a .533 average. Reyes collected 2 home runs, 5 RBIs and scored 2 runs. So far this year in 26 games Reyes is hitting .349 with 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and 5 runs scored. |   |
