 | Nolan: Big Hit in the August Herrman League Monday, May 21st, 2012: Houston fans have something to crow about today as Houston shortstop Rob Nolan nabbed the August Herrman League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days.
"I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Nolan.
He posted a .364 average (8-22) this past week with 3 home runs, 10 RBIs, and 6 runs scored.
Nolan is batting at a .357 pace this season, picking up 25 hits in 70 at-bats with 4 home runs, 21 RBIs and 13 runs scored. | |
