 | 08's Rice Smacks 5 Hits Tuesday, April 17th, 2012: Columbia catcher Reginald Rice could do no wrong in today's 7-1 win over the Stingrays as he collected 5 hits. "In every one of his at-bats things were in his favor... he got hitter's counts," the skipper of the Stingrays said to the press corps after the game. Rice agreed. "The key is getting ahead. Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit. You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready." Reginald Rice singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Mike Robertson in the 8th. On the year Rice has hit .233 with 1 home run, 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs. |   |
