 | Hit Parade: Smith Pops 5 Hits Monday, April 2nd, 2012: On top of the Westside hit parade today was Mark Smith. He went to the plate 5 times and marched away with 5 hits, sparking the Road Warriors to a 11-1 victory over the Columbia 08's. The sweet swinging first baseman told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." The skipper of the 08's wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Mark Smith hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 4th, tripled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. |   |
