Friday, September 27th, 2013: Jeff Bell of the Roman Fascists became belligerent after a third-strike call in the game against Westside yesterday at Road Warriors Field. Today, the Fascists third baseman addressed his battle with the umps and the ejection that resulted in a 2-game suspension by the league. Bell said the league report submitted to the league by the umpiring crew did not tell whole story. "They conveniently left out the names they called me." In a statement the league said the suspension was because Bell returned to the field after the first argument had subsided.
In 64 games this season Bell has compiled a .284 batting average with 25 hits and 6 home runs. He has also scored 12 times and knocked in 15 runs.
