 | Yamashita Brilliant -- Fires No-Hitter Monday, September 16th, 2013: Tetsuya Yamashita made quick work of Roman at The Whig Stadium earlier today. The 19-year-old hurler tossed a no-hitter for the Bel Air Princes in defeating the Fascists 9-0. "I really didn't have my best stuff today," he admitted after the game, "there's a lot of luck involved in throwing a no-hitter. Some days it's better to be lucky than good." In a superlative outing he registered 7 strikeouts and 2 walks. Luck or not, Yamashita will go down in history and will get his name written down in the league record book. This year Yamashita has a 18-6 mark in 32 starts with a 1.54 ERA. He has given up 126 hits in 199 innings, struck out 208 and issued 44 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .177 batting average against him. |   |
